According to the book of Joshua, Israel served the Lord throughout Joshua’s lifetime. However, the next generation had not experienced God’s power firsthand. This is a situation we see today, as many young people are abandoning the faith of their parents. They need to encounter the God of the Bible and come to understand just how real He is—not merely because they were told about Him, but because they have experienced Him for themselves.

Jesus shows us that the Fathers will comes first. Mathew 26:39- And going a little farther he fell on his face and prayed, saying, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”

In this broken world, we will encounter suffering. Should we view this as a sign that God is unkind or uncaring toward us? Or can we see our suffering as a way for God to lovingly prepare us for usefulness in this world and to purify us for an eternity in His presence?

Many biblical figures, such as Jacob, have experienced this holy wrestling, which can lead to spiritual growth if we persevere in our faith.
