Hiding from God often feels safer than facing Him—especially when we’re burdened by guilt, shame, or doubt. But what we forget is that God doesn’t meet us with condemnation; He meets us with compassion.

When we mess up, feel ashamed, or are overwhelmed by life, our first instinct is often to hide—just like Adam and Eve did in the garden. We think God is angry, disappointed, or distant. But the truth is, He is always drawing near, even when we’re pulling away. Just like the father in the story of the prodigal son, God isn’t waiting to scold us—He’s watching for us, ready to run toward us the moment we take even one step back home.

From the very beginning of Scripture, we see a God who pursues. In the Garden, after Adam and Eve hid in shame, God called out, “Where are you?” (Genesis 3:9). not because He didn’t know where they were—but because He wanted relationship, restoration, and their return to Him. No matter how far you’ve gone or how long you’ve been wandering, you are not beyond His reach. He sees you. He desires you. He is searching… for you.

Deep within every human soul is a longing—a yearning for purpose, peace, and fulfillment. St. Augustine captures this universal ache with timeless truth: we were created by God and for God, and nothing in this world can truly satisfy us apart from Him.

Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6), and even when the world tried to silence Him with the grave, He rose in victory. The resurrection proves that Truth lives, cannot be buried, and will always overcome. “He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” – Matthew 28:6

Even when you can’t see what God is doing, you can rest in who He is. His silence is not His absence. His ways are higher—even in the waiting. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning;” -Lamentations 3:22–23

He steps into the mess. He draws near to the wounds. He doesn’t flinch at your pain—He reaches out to heal it. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” -Psalm 34:18

Your weakness doesn’t push Him away—it pulls Him closer. His presence isn’t reserved for your strength, but revealed in your surrender. “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” -Psalm 34:18

God doesn’t reach out to shame you but to restore, heal, and renew you. His touch is gentle, purposeful, and filled with grace. Allow Him to transform you—not by force, but by love. “For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.”- John 3:17
