Acts 12:5-17 “So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church…”

Christians are called to remember God’s past faithfulness and to rely on His promises for the future. This trust involves active faith, obedience, and a willingness to wait on God’s timing and methods of deliverance.

We can be prisoners of our sins, addiction, our flesh or anything of this world. Regardless of the type of prison, persistent prayer will set you free.

“In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:6

Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Ephesians 5:1-2

The Lord has shown us that He is with us through the great sacrifice of His Son. With such a gracious gesture, must we not be willing to follow His will?
